Trip to Texas

I flew to Texas with George and Tommy for my youngest brother's highschool graduation. I was nervous to fly with 2 kids by myself. The flight there wasn't too bad, but the flight home was pretty hard. Tommy didn't sleep all 3 hours and George was cranky and tired. It was worth it to get to be with my family. George had so much fun playing with his cousins. I hardly saw him because he was off playing the whole time. I enjoyed getting to see my parents and all of my siblings. I wish we lived closer.

Happy Mother's Day

I love mother's day. I got to sleep in and then had a nice waffle breakfast when I woke up. Now Chris is doing the dishes. What could be better.

I've been getting in to silk ribbon embroidery. I've made a couple of cards. This one I made for my mom, but I couldn't get it to her in time for Mother's day. Sorry mom. But this will be coming this week in the mail. I love you.

Kids say the funniest things.

George and Tommy just started playing together. Well, not really together, but they're playing with toys at the same time. We have our toys in a corner of our family room behind a chair. Tommy was being fussy and I needed to get dinner ready. I told George to play with some toys with Tommy behind the chair. I set Tommy down and George started playing. Tommy kept crying more and more. Then George said, "Well, that didn't work." I had to laugh.

We're joining the blogging world. I've been inspired by my family to start blogging. I hope I have something to say. Deep in the Heart of Davis-It's hard not to write Texas and start clapping my hands to the song. I'm a Texan learning to be a Californian. We're here in the nice and quirky town of Davis. It has wonderful parks, greenbelts and a small town feel. But "toad tunnel" should sum up it's quirkiness. George likes to point out the froggy houses as we leave the post office. It's so the frogs will have a place to cross the road without getting run over of course. We're adjusting to life with 2 kids. We have a 3 year old, George, and a 6 month old, Tommy. Bed times are always an adventure. Tonight was wonderful. I got them both down by myself by 8pm! (Chris is out of town.) That's why I have time to set up a blog.
